In an interview broadcast on a YouTube video, Karen Berg discusses what the Schechina is and how it effects the world we live in. Karen explains how the tree of life in the story of creation represents the world above where godliness dwells and it is a unified whole. But when man and woman are created and then they eat from the tree of knowlege of good and evil this action represents the duality of the world. Karen then goes on to explain how there was innocence in the world before Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowlege, but afterwards they lost their innocence when they ate. Ms. Berg goes on to explain how children, until the age of twelve or so, still have this innocence, but when they lose it, it is up to the adults around them to give them the knowlege needed to create a better world and bring the unity of the tree of life back into the world.

Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation Helps Orphans of Malawi
One of the projects taken on by ‘The Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation is “Raising Malawi: Orphan Care Initiative.” This program is a grassroots initiative to help the more than 1 million orphans of Malawi in a comprehensive, compassionate and effective way. Do to the overwhelming impoverishment of the country, famine, and serious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis the 12 million person population of Malawi has been devastated.
“Raising Malawi” is effective because it does not have to contend with the bureaucracy and red-tape of national relief efforts and it is run as well as staffed by volunteers from the Kabbalah Center. The goal is to raise the orphans of Malawi from utter powerlessness to a state of self-empowerment. Not an easy goal, but at the Kabbalah Centre we believe this is our job to bring about the manifestation of the Light into the world.
