"Women Help Bring Tikkun Olam" - Karen Berg

Karen Berg, along with her husband Rav Berg have helped bring the Kabbalah to large numbers of people that would otherwise not have access to this previously esoteric ancient wisdom. And until Karen Berg became involved as a woman, the Kabbalah was forbidden to women to devote time to studying. Now the Kabbalah Centre is open to all, whether man or woman, Jewish or non-Jewish, rich or poor. This openness and broad inclusiveness will help the adherents of Kabbalistic practice bring the longed for and long awaited tikkun olam, which is the ultimate goal of existence.

Karen Berg Discusses the Shechina on YouTube

In an interview broadcast on a YouTube video, Karen Berg discusses what the Schechina is and how it effects the world we live in. Karen explains how the tree of life in the story of creation represents the world above where godliness dwells and it is a unified whole. But when man and woman are created and then they eat from the tree of knowlege of good and evil this action represents the duality of the world. Karen then goes on to explain how there was innocence in the world before Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowlege, but afterwards they lost their innocence when they ate. Ms. Berg goes on to explain how children, until the age of twelve or so, still have this innocence, but when they lose it, it is up to the adults around them to give them the knowlege needed to create a better world and bring the unity of the tree of life back into the world.

Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation Helps Orphans of Malawi

One of the projects taken on by ‘The Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation is “Raising Malawi: Orphan  Care Initiative.” This program is a grassroots initiative to help the more than 1 million orphans of Malawi in a comprehensive, compassionate and effective way. Do to the overwhelming impoverishment of the country, famine, and serious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis the 12 million person population of Malawi has been devastated.

“Raising Malawi” is effective because it does not have to contend with the bureaucracy and red-tape of national relief efforts and it is run as well as staffed by volunteers from the Kabbalah Center. The goal is to raise the orphans of Malawi from utter powerlessness to a state of self-empowerment. Not an easy goal, but at the Kabbalah Centre we believe this is our job to bring about the manifestation of the Light into the world.

The Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation is an organization sponsored by the Kabbalah Center which identifies and responds to what are the urgent needs in a community. Urgent and critical needs are identified in far-reaching communities across the globe so that effective responses are initiated which will adequately address the particular circumstances of that community.

As Kabbalists we are people of action, and as such we are the volunteers that make the special programs happen. Students of the Kabbalah Centre believe that sharing with others causes the miracles in our own lives to be manifest. More About the Red String:Powerful Protecting Tool
